Compared to natural alexandrite, lab grown alexandrite will be cleaner, have a more consistent color, have an intense color change effect, and have bigger sizes. The rough material of lab grown alexandrite is complicated. It needs to be cut and polished by experienced craftsmen. Otherwise, it may not have both blueish green and reddish purple. Even worse, its color change effect will be faint. Bivis cuts lab grown alexandrite with the correct orientation, which would waste more rough materials, but the finished stone would have an intense color change effect. Each lab grown alexandrite shows vibrant blueish green under cold light (daylight);  when under warm light (sunlight, incandescent light), it will be rich in reddish purple.
